DESCRIPTIVE TEKS : FIELD CONDITION IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL

This government-funded school has a front yard, namely a basketball court which can also be used as a futsal court. Even though it has been used as land for sports, there is a policy where some of the land that is not covered by the field area is used as parking for teachers' vehicles. The sports area which is crowded with parking lots and school rubbish dumps creates an unpleasant feeling in the heart, because the unpleasant smell from the dump and the lack of freedom to exercise because there are teachers' vehicles makes field users wary.

The first glance when entering the front field area, has been greeted with the presence of teachers' or instructors' vehicles parked around the field. The cleanliness of the field area is very well maintained from leaves and plastic waste, but not from unused furniture such as cabinets that are left unattended. Sports facilities on the field already need to be repaired such as, goal posts that have started to rust. Trees from outside the school that grow into the school area provide little protection from the hot sun.

Stepping onto the basketball court, the texture underfoot varied, with smooth sections of the court surface interspersed with rougher, worn sections. The metal goal posts, though rusted, still felt slightly cool in the heat. Traces of dried water clung to all parts of the pitch, evidence of people using the pitch to work up a sweat. When one walks around the parked vehicles, one occasionally bumps into the body, resulting in impact marks.

The air carries the faint scent of motor oil mixed with the scent of the surrounding environment from activities that add to air pollution, battling against the foul odor emanating from the nearby landfill. As one moves closer to the landfill, the smell gets stronger, assaulting the senses with the sour scent of decaying organic matter. Despite attempts to cover it up, the smell infiltrates one's surroundings, mingling with the faint sweat from the activity on the ground. The overall effect is a discordant mix of nature's freshness tainted by the presence of unwanted waste.
