what's good my friend? today i want to discuss what is procedure text. Do you know about text procedures? Or have you read text procedures before?. Do you know or don't know at all, it's okay because we will discuss it together, okay? letss gowwwwwww...............

Do you first know what a procedure text is? 


- A procedure text 
is a text that contains steps to do or make something.

Examples include food or drink recipes, how to make and use something or to operate something and many more examples.

Sample procedure text :

Recipe for how to make pancakes 

7 INGRIDIENTS 
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1/3 cup caster sugar
  • Butter, for frying, plus extra, to serve
  • Maple syrup, to serve

3 MENTHOD STEPS

Step 1
Whisk eggs, milk and vanilla together in a jug. Sift flour into a large bowl. Stir in sugar. Make a well in the centre. Add milk mixture. Whisk until just combined.
Step 2
Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Grease pan with butter or spray with cooking oil. Using 1/4 cup mixture per pancake, cook 2 pancakes for 2 minutes or until bubbles appear on surface. Turn and cook for a further 1-2 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Cover loosely with foil to keep warm. Repeat with remaining mixture, greasing pan with butter or cooking oil between batches.
Step 3
Serve with maple syrup and extra butter.

- Purpose of text procedures
The purpose of the procedure text itself is to describe how to achieve something and is made for the reader to know the sequence or steps of an activity or another. 


- Procedure text structure
Procedure text is divided into 3 parts, objectives, materials and steps.

the following explanation :

1. Goal, is to provide information for the purpose, aim and predict a conclusion. 

2. Materials, contains a list of materials or ingredients needed to perform a procedure or steps.

3. Steps, contains a list of sequences of instructions to achieve the goal in a scripted sequence of steps.


- Language Features
The language features of the procedure text are imperative sentences, action verbs, connectives, adverbials, and simple present tense.

DESCRIPTIVE TEKS : FIELD CONDITION IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL

This government-funded school has a front yard, namely a basketball court which can also be used as a futsal court. Even though it has been used as land for sports, there is a policy where some of the land that is not covered by the field area is used as parking for teachers' vehicles. The sports area which is crowded with parking lots and school rubbish dumps creates an unpleasant feeling in the heart, because the unpleasant smell from the dump and the lack of freedom to exercise because there are teachers' vehicles makes field users wary. The first glance when entering the front field area, has been greeted with the presence of teachers' or instructors' vehicles parked around the field. The cleanliness of the field area is very well maintained from leaves and plastic waste, but not from unused furniture such as cabinets that are left unattended.
