This morning, learning English, learning about NEWS ITEMS 

WHAT ARE NEWS ITEMS??? 

The definition of news item is an English text that tells an event or important event in a form that resembles news, or is worthy of being made news (news).


Generic Structure of News Item Text (Struktur News Item Text)

As usual, each text will be formed with a different structure. What structure does news item text have?

1. Main event/Newsworthy events

Main events/Newsworthy events main event is a paragraph that contains a summary of an event, aka important events that are highlights to be conveyed to the reader.

- Taking from the word "main" which means the main, then "event" which means the event.

- Another element that can be taken into consideration for writing a main event is whether or not an event is important, and how much influence it has on the readers.

- In this case, one thing that must be considered by the writer is actuality. Are the events to be discussed up to date or “latest”? The reason is, the latest information will certainly have a higher value than old news.

DESCRIPTIVE TEKS : FIELD CONDITION IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL

This government-funded school has a front yard, namely a basketball court which can also be used as a futsal court. Even though it has been used as land for sports, there is a policy where some of the land that is not covered by the field area is used as parking for teachers' vehicles. The sports area which is crowded with parking lots and school rubbish dumps creates an unpleasant feeling in the heart, because the unpleasant smell from the dump and the lack of freedom to exercise because there are teachers' vehicles makes field users wary. The first glance when entering the front field area, has been greeted with the presence of teachers' or instructors' vehicles parked around the field. The cleanliness of the field area is very well maintained from leaves and plastic waste, but not from unused furniture such as cabinets that are left unattended.
