What is meant by Recount Text? (What is Recount Text)

The definition of recount text is a type of English text that retells events or events in the past. The story can be in the form of action or activity before someone writes the text.


 Purpose of Recount Text (Purpose of Recount Text)

There are several purposes of recount text, namely:

1. Provide information to the reader

2. Entertain readers

3. Reflecting on something.

4. Documenting important experiences.

5. Study history.


Generic Structure of Recount Text (Struktur Recount Text)

1. Orientation

Orientation is information about the character or character, location, time of occurrence

2. Series of Events

Event is an event, while series means a series. In this section, the author will write down a series of events/events that they experienced

3. Re-orientation

The end of a story is called reorientation. In this section, the author will provide a summary and conclusion of the whole story as well as tell the ending (sad/happy). If there is, the author will also add impressions and messages for readers.


Language Features of Recount Text (Kaidah Kebahaasaan Recount Text)

1. Using simple past tense

2. Using specific participant

3. Using personal participant

4. Using action verb 

5. Using linking verb

6. Using chronological connection/sequence connective

7. Using conjunction

8. Using adverbs

9. Using adverb(ial) phrase 

10. Using time connectives and sequence connective

DESCRIPTIVE TEKS : FIELD CONDITION IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL

This government-funded school has a front yard, namely a basketball court which can also be used as a futsal court. Even though it has been used as land for sports, there is a policy where some of the land that is not covered by the field area is used as parking for teachers' vehicles. The sports area which is crowded with parking lots and school rubbish dumps creates an unpleasant feeling in the heart, because the unpleasant smell from the dump and the lack of freedom to exercise because there are teachers' vehicles makes field users wary. The first glance when entering the front field area, has been greeted with the presence of teachers' or instructors' vehicles parked around the field. The cleanliness of the field area is very well maintained from leaves and plastic waste, but not from unused furniture such as cabinets that are left unattended.
